Membership
Whether you’d simply like to enjoy the full and varied programme of plays and other events at the Playhouse or wish to act, direct, work backstage or on our front of house teams, you’ll be welcome as a member of the Playhouse.
You can pick up a membership form at the Box Office.
MEMBERS AND PATRONS
As a Member or Patron, you will receive regular mailings of our Newsletter which contains information on all forthcoming events and activities, plus a free advance copy of the programmes for all our main-house productions. You can also take advantage of annual priority booking for all 8 shows in the Wharfeside.
ACTING
As a member of the Playhouse, you are entitled to join the acting list, if you wish to do so. We cast all plays well in advance, and you can indicate interest in a particular play or part by signing the lists outside the Wildman, or request an audition or a meeting by contacting the Casting Convenor. As members of the LTG we provide regular training courses in performance skills.
OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Every production needs a director, a set designer, a stage crew, prompters and technical operators, as well as a full staff of House Managers, programme sellers, bar staff and publicity helpers. All our stage sets and most of our costumes are made on the premises and we need teams of people to help with these for every show. So whether your talent is performing, sewing sequins, pulling pints, hammering nails, or just for making friends, we’d love to welcome you.
