Brilliant, innovative harper Maire Ni Chathasaigh, Irish Traditional Musician of the Year 2001, and Engish guitar wizard chris Newman are joined by two of the most important names in Irish music, legendary guitarist Arty PcGlynn (ex Van Morrison band) and virtuoso fiddler Nollaig Casey (ex Planxty), who between thme have played with every major Irish artist of the last thirty years. These two world-renowned duos have combined to create a breathtaking blend of traditional Irish music and songs, their own compositions, ragtime, bluegrass and baroque. An October tour of the UK and Ireland marks the release of their new CD "heartstring Sessions", Ilkley based Chris and Maire have ensured that their only Yorkshire dates are here at Ilkley Playhouse.
